Ellsworth Adult Education P/T Evening Coordinator Seeking an energetic & engaging person who is a flexible self-starter with excellent customer service; strong organizational skills & attention to detail; and excellent technology skills. Must be able to troubleshoot and learn new technology and software quickly and have an interest in working in a small team to grow a program through engaging learners, instructors and the community. Responsibilities include working to support, develop, market and monitor the enrichment and workforce training programs.
HiSET Examiner P/T Seeking a caring, detail oriented, computer savvy individual to serve as an examiner and/or a proctor for high school equivalency testing at Ellsworth Adult Education in the Mill Mall and at the Hancock County Jail.
Employability Skills Instructor P/T Seeking an energetic, engaging, patient, flexible individual to teach 21st Century computer and other digital literacy skills as well as other employability and business skills for Ellsworth Adult Education.

Whether you are new to teaching or a veteran, we hope you’ll contact us to learn more about offering a presentation, workshop, or course in our community. We get requests for specific courses and are also interested in offering a variety of opportunities for adults in our communities
We are currently actively seeking instructors in the following areas:
- computer training-all levels (both PCs and Macs)
- smart phones and tablets (both Apples and Androids
- creating and editing WordPress websites
- job readiness
The first step is to meet with our director, Annie Sargent, or complete a course proposal, whichever suits you best. Annie is eager to assist individuals new to teaching and/or to our program to design a schedule, format and course description that will draw community members to the event. We are very flexible and provide and much support as people need to share their skills, knowledge and experience with the community. You don’t need to be an expert!
