This workshop starts with an instructional live online session using ZOOM, followed by a field session on a Bar Harbor Whale Watch Company 3-hour Puffin & Lighthouse Tour, followed by a final live online review and critique session on ZOOM.
In the first live online class, we'll start by learning camera settings, aperture, shutter, ISO, white balance and other compositional techniques critical to lighthouse photography. The following Saturday, we’ll meet in Bar Harbor at Bar Harbor Whale Watch at 8:30a for a 9:30a departure. During the tour, we’ll focus on photographing the puffins and lighthouses, sharing techniques and approaches. Finally, we’ll meet online the following Thursday to share, learn and critique our images. The registration fee for this workshop includes the cost of the cruise. This is a hybrid class (in-person and live online using ZOOM).
