Ellsworth Adult Education offers a CNA course that meets Maine State requirements of 70 classroom, 20 lab, and 40 clinical hours. Upon successful completion of the course you sit for the State Registry Exam and if successful you’ll become a Maine State Certified CNA. While other area programs are holding CNA programs this Spring we are planning a Fall 2022 program that will include the option of earning additional certificates in job readiness and digital literacy. We will have more information about this program on our website by early Spring. This course certifies the student in cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills for adults, infants, and children as well as choking protocols. It also teaches competency in both Automated External Defibrillator use and Narcan.

This is a Pharmacy Technician Certificate program with PTCB National Certification. Work one-on-one with a Pharmacy Technician Trainer and entirely online with support from a Pharmacy Technician and Trainer. The Pharmacy Technician is one of the fastest growing jobs in healthcare today. In this course,

he pharmacy setting, to the basic sciences at the core of pharmacy practice, to preparing for the PTCB exam. Effective substitutes need to know how to access policies and procedures, facilities and lesson plans. They also need to understand the school culture and have a toolkit of instructional, classroom and behavior management strategies. This workshop addresses these topics for the Ellsworth Schools and will be followed-up by a tour at each building (by appointment).

Google docs is an invaluable and easy to use online tool similar to Microsoft Word. It's free, accessible from all devices and is super easy to share. Learn how to create documents, master useful formatting functions, share documents with others and more as time permits. This workshop will introduce you to these features and share resources for futher learning. This is an in-person class.

Google applications are free and are a practical way to learn programs without investing in software.
