We lost our dear friend to cancer this summer. A few years ago she shared her experiences with our program.
Mary has been with us a few years. A couple of years ago she was accepted in the National Adult Education Honor Society because of her perserverance against all odds. This may be the year she earns her high school diploma. Mary is pictured her in her individualized science class. She reported that she was always afraid of science and now she thinks it’s cool.
Every single person who comes to us has strengths. We start with their strengths to build the basics so adults can achieve their goals for the family, work and community roles. Students set the pace and teachers design a individual program to meet with needs and interests.
