About

Ellsworth Adult Education is a department of the Ellsworth School District and the City of Ellsworth.  

Location

The office and learning center are located at the Mill Mall and additional courses are offered at the Ellsworth school facilities and at other locations in the community.

Programs

Business & Skills Training courses help prepare Maine citizens by providing the modern skills training necessary for new careers, promotions, and other career advancement.

College Transitions courses assist people of all ages wishing to make the transition into college-level courses.

Maine High School Equivalency Diploma and local High School Diploma courses help people complete their high school education.

Building the Basics courses give people the guidance, support, and training necessary to improve their reading, writing, math, English language and digital literacy skills.  

Personal enrichment courses include lessons in skills such as cooking and musical instruments, and also include a variety of unique and fun experiences including travel.

Adjunct Faculty are invaluable to the program.  Ellsworth Adult Education has more than 20 instructors teaching a broad range of classes each year.   The city of Ellsworth is honored to have so many talented individuals dedicating their time and energy to improve the lives of it's citizens.  Consider teaching for us!
